Our dear friends at Rossmoor need our and your help to recover from Tropical Storm Henri.

While the rest of New Jersey was soaked but mostly spared, Middlesex County saw nine inches of rain and major flooding during the August 2021 storm. Rossmoor, the award-winning active adult community in Monroe Township, is ground zero in the aftermath, with 110 families impacted by flooding and some experiencing life-altering property loss.

“The flooding was so bad in this section of Rossmoor that even the county rescue truck became stuck,” one news outlet reported. “Most of the residents say that they don’t have much hope in insurance because most do not have flood insurance. Their neighborhood is not in a flood zone.”

Photos show Rossmoor residents picking up the pieces from the damage or standing in still-flooded homes. NJ Governor Phil Murphy visited Rossmoor specifically, where he met with residents and held a press conference.

While High Tech’s relationship with Rossmoor typically centers on taking care of the community’s grounds, landscaping is not on our minds right now. We just want to help the residents receive immediate flood relief.
